House get!

Well I got a house sorted, somehow managed to do that in 3 days. Nice place, 3 bedroom + rumpus room. Pics will be coming when I get the internet sorted out in the house, as I'm posting from work at the mo.
Speaking of which, started yesterday, seems like they are all pleasant enough people and I'm going to be kept hella busy, so much work on!
Drove stick for the first time yesterday (yeah, my work car is a mitsubishi ute, manual), only managed to stall it once (and not in front of all my new work mates thank gord).
Should have the net running at home in the next week or so, so keep an eye out for some pix.

Brisvegas..

Well, here I am - I made it!!
The drive took a fair bit out of me, still pretty tired, but I did get to listen to some good tunes for 20 hours (Ipod + Griffin Roadtrip FTW) - Love's too much by Shapemod has to be the song of the year so far, and it'll take something pretty special to top it.
It's real sticky hot at the moment, it feels like I've got to shower just about every hour.
I've checked a few houses, a few are good enough, decent size rooms and all that. Although I did check out one "house" which was pretty much the equivalent of a shoe box, I think they got the plans for the second bedroom mixed up with ones for a linen closet because there was no way you could fit a bed in there.
Tomorrow it's into the city for a bit of walking around, might go and check that V for Vendetta tomorrow night since Grant's off to the D 'n D at Dreamworld. Rogue Traders are playing. yeah. them. nuff said.

ack. gawd, I'm never driving this far again!!!

so I've made it up to coffs harbour and will arrive in brisbane tomorrow around 4ish.
It's been pretty good, but tiring to say the least.
Highlights include the big sheep in Goulburn and ending up on the wrong side of Sydney (I made it to where I got to go easily from there thank goodness. Also $2.70 VB stubbies at the Tennis Club in Rockdale was just what the doctor ordered.
Thanks to all who turned up to my going away party on saturday, from what I remember it was pretty good!!
Well, off to get some tea now and an early night (I'll put on the commonwealth games opening to put me to sleep quick).

Just the beginning...

Ack. I've started a blog. I hate that word - sounds like such a wanky marketing-type tech buzz word. Like podcast.
Anyway, on Monday (13th March) I'll start a long drive to Brisvegas.
It's going to take me about 4-5 days so I thought it would be interesting to keep a bit of a travel diary with photos of me involved in riots in Cronulla or getting beaten in Byron Bay.
This thing is more for my own amusement/sanity for the next week but, if you enjoy it - good for you.
2 Days of work left, then a big going away bash on Saturday - I'll update whenever I get a chance (hopefully there's a few internet cafe's around).
